What to do:
- Establish and communicate a cohesive technical vision across teams to guide project implementation.
- Collaborate with the COO, CTO, PMs, and other stakeholders to facilitate effective planning and project execution.
- Develop and introduce technical development plans to address technical debt in partnership with the CTO and other stakeholders.
- Review and approve architectural solutions within teams, involving CTOs and Software Architects as needed.
- Assess team structures and technical process efficiency, suggesting improvements in collaboration with the CTO and PMs.
- Ensure business and functional requirements are clear and sufficient for project development.
- Oversee and accept team deliverables, ensuring they meet quality standards and requirements.
- Provide strategic guidance on technical decisions as needed.
- Facilitate knowledge sharing across teams, ensuring transparency and availability of technical knowledge.
- Organize technical training, facilitate conference participation, and promote talent development.
- Monitor technical performance metrics, collaborate with PMs on efficiency, and contribute to implementing solutions for improvement.
- Participate in recruiting processes, particularly in technical interviews for Team and Tech Lead positions.
- Define and continuously improve the onboarding process for new team members.
- Conduct People Management for Team and Tech Leads, including performance reviews, mentorship, and coaching.
- Ensure consistency and completeness in the technical stack, environment, tools, and architectural solutions across teams.
- Maintain effective team structures and technical processes to achieve shared goals and outcomes.
- Assess and enhance team members’ skill sets and knowledge to ensure successful task execution.
- Develop and oversee the implementation of a plan for technical product development and technical debt management.
- Provide professional development and mentorship for Team and Tech Leads.
- Establish technical efficiency metrics for teams and work toward their optimization.
- Ensure teams have the necessary resources, data, and capabilities to meet shared objectives.
- Adapt development efforts to changing priorities and project scopes as needed.
- Maintain technical quality of deliverables, ensuring they align with expectations and standards.
- Keep stakeholders informed and engaged in managing technical risks and changes across projects.
You have:
- 5+ years of experience in development.
- 5+ years in leading the team 20+ members - MUST HAVE!
