Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage IT infrastructure, including firewalls, routers, switches, servers, and storage systems.
- Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot network devices such as VLANs, routing protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF), NAT, and VPN.
- Oversee essential network services like DHCP, DNS, and load balancing to ensure performance and reliability.
- Ensure network stability, focusing on routing, switching, and wireless network optimization.
- Implement and monitor network performance, addressing bottlenecks and ensuring consistent reliability.
- Plan for network capacity and optimize for scalability and future expansion.
- Manage backup systems, disaster recovery plans, and failover processes.
- Administer storage solutions to ensure data availability and integrity.
- Perform regular maintenance and troubleshooting on servers, including system updates, package management, and kernel optimizations.
- Develop and enforce security protocols to protect IT infrastructure.
- Manage firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and VPN access controls.
- Conduct security risk assessments and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Lead a team of IT professionals, including network engineers, system administrators, and support staff.
- Ensure continuous IT system availability by implementing a comprehensive on-call rotation and escalation procedures.
- Manage incident response to swiftly address critical infrastructure issues.
- Promote a proactive team culture focused on monitoring, preventive maintenance, and continuous improvement.
- Plan and oversee IT infrastructure projects, including system upgrades, migrations, and new deployments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align IT infrastructure with organizational goals.
- Effectively manage project budgets, timelines, and resource allocation for infrastructure initiatives.
Requirements:
- Proficient in English (C1) with strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- Over 5 years of experience in IT infrastructure management or a similar role.
- Certification in Azure Administration, ITIL Foundation, or CISSP is a plus.
- Extensive hands-on experience with firewalls, routers, switches, and server management.
- Deep understanding of routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), NAT, VLANs, and network security practices.
- Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification is required.
- Proficiency in Linux systems, particularly with the Ubuntu distribution.
- Experience managing a 24/7 IT support environment.
- Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills.
