We are currently seeking an experienced Renewable Energy Site Engineer to join our Renewable Energy Services team. This hybrid role is located in Albany, NY, with flexibility to work remotely from other office locations. The Civil Engineer will play a pivotal role in supporting the design, production, and implementation of renewable energy projects, such as Solar, Battery Energy Storage, and other renewable energy initiatives. This individual will need strong expertise in Civil/Site design, including site plan layouts, grading design, stormwater management, and permitting.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct site visits to assess project feasibility.
- Assist in the preparation of preliminary site layouts.
- Develop comprehensive solar designs, including site plans, structural drawings, and engineering calculations.
- Create site plans and construction document drawings for permit approvals and construction phases.
- Support the permitting application processes.
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with various project stakeholders including clients, professional engineers, contractors, and internal teams.
- Provide high-quality design and technical implementation while ensuring adherence to scope, schedule, budget, and client expectations.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Minimum of 8+ years of experience in Civil Engineering.
- Professional Engineer (PE) or Engineer in Training (EIT) certification preferred.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Strong understanding of site plan design, grading, and stormwater management.
- Familiarity with State Environmental Quality Review (SEQR), Department of Environmental Conservation stormwater permitting, and code review
Additional Skills:
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
- Experience working with renewable energy projects, specifically solar and battery storage.
- Strong understanding of hydraulic calculations and environmental assessments.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic work environment with a focus on high-quality project delivery.
