Business Analyst (Fintech experience - MUST HAVE)

We’re seeking an experienced Business Analyst with Fintech experience to join our dynamic BA Team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to both internal and commercial projects (especially to a fintech service tailored for EU clients). As a vital link between the business and engineering teams, you will leverage your knowledge of business processes and technology to assist our stakeholders in attaining their desired outcomes.

About the project:  
The project aims to develop a banking platform for individuals and businesses in Namibia. The MVP will include native mobile iOS and Android applications, web application, middleware layer with integration into Namibian banking rail.

The size of the team:
2 BAs, 2 UI/UX designers, 2 DevOps engineers, 2 BE (including Solution Architect), 2 FE, 2 QA, 2 Mobile engineers, 1 PM, 1 Delivery manager

You have:
  • A minimum of 2 years of commercial experience as a Business Analyst in software development projects in Fintech domain
  • Experience with Fintech or Banking Products
  • Strong BA knowledge of every phase of software development
  • Experience with requirements elicitation techniques, requirements gathering and ability to identify business needs
  • Experience in translating business requirements into comprehensive technical documentation (including writing use cases, user stories, and acceptance criteria)
  • Experience with tracking tools and requirements management tools (such as Jira and Confluence)
  • Good understanding of SDLC and familiarity with Web/Mobile development approaches
  • Experience with visual modelling languages (such as UML and BPMN)
  • Proficiency in creating wireframes and screen mockups
  • B2 (Upper-Intermediate)

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to elicit and gather all requirements for projects
  • Documenting requirements by creating vision and scope documents, use cases, user stories, and defining functional and non-functional requirements
  • Working closely with the development team and product team to understand the features and operational procedures of products and processes
  • Engaging in requirements management, ensuring clear tracking and organization of requirements throughout the project lifecycle
  • Performing requirements analysis to identify gaps, conflicts, and potential areas for improvement
  • Actively participating in design, development, and technical meetings, providing valuable insights and contributing to the decision-making process
  • Offering recommendations for solutions and improvements based on business needs and best practices
  • Ensuring that documentation is consistently updated and maintained for each product release, reflecting any changes or updates accurately
