Key Responsibilities
Audit and review 2D, 3D, UI, VFX and other asset packages to ensure they meet predefined quality, performance, and style standards.
Verify asset optimization: check polygon/mesh quality, texture resolution/compression, material/shader settings, and overall performance suitability for target platforms.
Ensure asset compatibility and integrity within production pipelines (e.g. integration into game engines, interactive ad frameworks, or custom runtime environments).
Maintain consistent folder structures, naming conventions, version control and documentation for assets across projects.
Collaborate with technical art, production, and creative teams to provide feedback and enforce best practices.
Identify potential issues — performance, compatibility, consistency, technical debt — and proactively suggest improvements or pipeline changes.
Train or mentor junior tech-art team members or auditors, review their work, and maintain high QA standards across the board.
Requirements
Solid background in technical art / game art / asset production or auditing — experience working with 3D, 2D, UI, VFX assets. Similar to a seasoned Technical Artist.
Strong understanding of asset optimization principles: polygon/mesh optimization, texture compression, shader/material setups, performance constraints on target platforms.
Experience with asset pipelines, version control, folder structure and documentation processes in production environments.
Keen attention to detail, ability to spot both aesthetic and technical issues, and a strong standard for quality and consistency.
Good communication skills and ability to collaborate across creative, technical, and production teams.
(Optional but preferred) Familiarity with a game engine or asset import pipelines (e.g. Unity, Unreal, WebGL/HTML5 pipelines, or custom interactive ad frameworks).
Nice to Have
Experience integrating or auditing assets in game-oriented or interactive ad environments.
Understanding of performance requirements across a range of target devices (mobile, web, low-end, high-end), and ability to audit accordingly.
Previous work in QA, asset management, or technical art leadership roles.
Ability to document audit procedures, write clear reports, and contribute to continuous improvement of asset pipelines and QA standards.
